What drives phone network development and the need for shielding against phone towers?
The exposure to phone tower radiation has only increased and makes it a logical decision to shield a home or at least the bedrooms against radio frequency (RF) radiation regardless of what the RF radiation exposure is at the planning and building stage. But what drives the ever advancement of phone tower networks? Why did 2G become 3G, followed by 4G and now 5G? The answer may surprise you.
Consumer data greed drives network advancement
It was in the time of 3G that we started to send photos to each other and Skype allowed us to start making voice calls over data connections. 4G was the time of video calls and messenger apps like Whatsapp, SIGNAL and Telegram. Then came video and video streaming services like NETFLIX and 4G was quickly not good enough anymore.
At this time, an increasing amount of people have video streaming services and many are already experiencing buffering delays of these streaming services. This is why 5G is already getting outdated and the next, better, faster network must be repaired for. 6G is already in the pipeline and our exposure to RF radiation will increase once again.
Sadly, it is the greed for data of us the consumers, that drives this development. As long as people want more, faster and in higher resolution, the governments and telecom companies will work to fulfil this desire.
Shielding now or Shielding later?
Shielding can be done at any time, but ideally before health is affected. This is a problem to pin point, as the deterioration of health or the deterioration of the body processes often happen slowly and are not being noticed. A decline in health is then often also ignored and dismissed as natural reduction in quality of life due to getting older. After all, we have no other ‘body’ to compare our body against. We do not know how good and how energetic we could feel if we had optimal health. It would of course be best to incorporate EMF radiation avoidance and shielding solutions in our homes BEFORE problems arose. Very much like brushing your teeth because you don’t want to loose teeth any earlier than you need to.
It is wonderful to see that most of our building clients choose to incorporate shielding regardless of what the exposure to RF radiation is during the planning or building stage. They put T98 shielding paint in at least the bedrooms, even if RF levels are reasonably low. Why not do it later? The answer is cost. It is simply far more cost effective to incorporate EMF radiation protection measures during the building process, compared to afterwards.
The painter and electrician are already coming, so lets shield against EMF radiation now
Clearly, when the walls are open, it is easy to put shielded cable or GPA shielding mesh in place before the walls are finished. Also with the labour for painters, applying T98 shielding paint is just a few extra layers of work at this stage. Once the home is finished, to put in shielding paint is doable, but will require a lot more work/labour as we’re effectively starting over.
Taking future increases in RF radiation exposure in mind and the cost saving of implementing radiation shielding during the building process, it is a logical decision to do it during construction.
